The protection of your personal data is a priority for us, which ensures that your personal data is processed with complete transparency and security.

The purpose of this notice is to provide you with information about the processing of your personal data collected via the darkblocks.ai website (hereinafter referred to as the "Site"). When you apply in response to a job offer or send other communications on the Site, darkblocks AI and Novatum OÜ, a private limited company that operates darkblocks AI, registered with the Estonian Commercial Registry under number 11278856, (hereinafter "darkblocks AI" or "we") collects and processes information about you. In this case, we act as the data controller, i.e. we determine the purpose and manner of processing your personal data.

Is the collection of your personal data mandatory on the Site?

The collection of personal data (including cookies) when you browse the Site and consult online information is optional. On the other hand, when you apply in response to a job offer or send other information on the Site, we need to collect and process personal data about you. All fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory. Other answers are optional and will not affect the processing of your request.

What personal data do we collect and process?

We potentially collect and process the following information on the Site:

  • Data relating to your identity, such as your first and last names;

  • Details of your professional experience, such as jobs held and internships completed, as well as references from previous employers;

  • Information about your training, studies, certifications and diplomas;

  • Contact details such as email address, telephone number, country of residence;

  • Information about your achievements and interests;

  • Data relating to your browsing on the Site (connection logs, IP address, technical data relating to the equipment and browser used, cookies and other tracers);

  • Data relating to the management of contacts and technical services (timestamping and purpose of requests, follow-up).

Your personal data is collected from the online form you use to apply for a job or to contact us.

What are the purposes for processing your personal data?

We will only ask you for information that is strictly necessary to achieve the objectives described below.

Managing the recruitment process

  • Searching for and identifying candidates in response to a job offer.

  • Pre-contractual measures and performance of the employment contract

  • Selecting candidates, assessing their suitability for a job and measuring their professional skills.

Building the darkblocks AI community

  • Creation of a community to send proposals and job offers by e-mail, SMS and/or via a virtual assistant (chatbot).

Communication

  • Prospecting for clients, job opportunities, recruitment campaigns and events by e-mail, SMS and/or virtual assistant (chatbot).

Authentication and technical management of the Site

  • Authentication of Site users

  • Managing navigation and security on the Site

You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing operations based on that consent prior to its withdrawal.

How long do we keep your personal data?

The information concerning you that is collected from the Site is kept for a period of two (2) years from the date of its collection, unless you withdraw your consent in advance.

Who receives your personal data?

Data will be received by darkblocks AI and Novatum group companies. Access to your personal data may be granted to recruitment officers, human resources managers and darkblocks AI and Novatum managers supervising the future employee, as well as to persons in charge of managing the Site.

We are an international group with many separate legal entities. As a result, we may share your data with other group companies and their employees. Where your personal data is transferred by a company established in the European Economic Area (hereinafter "the EEA") or in the United Kingdom to a company established outside the EEA or the United Kingdom, in a country that has not been recognized as offering an adequate level of protection by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the United Kingdom, this transfer is based on the internal rules adopted by darkblocks AI and Novatum.  

External suppliers and service providers

We may use external suppliers and service providers to host and maintain the Site or to assist us in the recruitment process. When we use a third party to process personal data on its behalf, we ensure that the third party complies with our instructions and implements appropriate protection measures.

When your personal data is transferred by our group company established in the EEA to a third company established outside the EEA, in a country that has not been recognized as offering an adequate level of protection by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, we rely on the European Union's Standard Contractual Clauses as adopted by the European Commission (hereinafter the "SCC") or any other appropriate guarantee.

Where your personal data is transferred by our group company established in the UK to a third party company established outside the UK, in a country which has not been recognized as offering an adequate level of protection by a UK adequacy decision, we rely on the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the Addendum to the SCC issued by the Information Commissioner's Office.

Public, governmental and/or judicial authorities

We may be required to disclose your data to public, governmental and/or judicial authorities by law or in the context of litigation, legal proceedings or any other request from such an authority. In such cases, we will ensure that only strictly necessary data is disclosed.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

What security measures are in place to protect your data?

We undertake to implement the technical, organizational and contractual security measures necessary to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorized access.

However, due to the public and unsecured nature of the Internet, we cannot be responsible for the security of personal data transmissions over the Internet.

In addition, the Site may contain links to third party web sites. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to such third-party sites. The publishers and operators of third-party websites may collect, use or transfer personal data under terms and conditions different from ours, which you should consult.

What are your rights concerning your personal data?

You have the right to access your personal data. You may also request the correction or deletion of your personal data. You also have the possibility of withdrawing your consent or objecting to the processing of your personal data and of requesting the restriction of such processing, where applicable.

You can request that your personal data be provided in a structured, standard format. To exercise your rights or make a complaint, please send your request to dataprotection@darkblocks.ai. In all cases, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
